This title was published in collaboration with the Book/Print Artist/Scholar of Color collective, which brings scholars of book history and print culture into conversation and collaboration with Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) book artists, papermakers, curators, letterpress printers, and printmakers to build community and support systems.
Hong Hong is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice spans papermaking, painting, and earthwork. Born in Hefei, China, Hong earned her MFA from University of Georgia in 2014. Her work has appeared at the Crystal Bridges Museum, Real Art Ways, Art League Houston, and the Jewett Arts Center. Hong has awards from MacDowell, Yaddo, the NEA, and Vermont Studio Center. She currently lives in Houston, TX.
