Tanaya Winder, an enrolled member of the Duckwater Shoshone Tribe, was raised on the Southern Ute reservation in Colorado. She received a BA from Stanford University and an MFA from the University of New Mexico. Winder is the author of Words Like Love (UNM Press 2021).
