Born in Gaborone, Botswana, Kim Karabo Makin is a multidisciplinary artist, radio DJ/host, and Master of Fine Art graduate from the Michaelis School of Fine Art in Cape Town. Makin’s practice compounds aspects of her background in sculpture (her undergraduate major) with her experience in new media and radio. Her art combines sculpture, sound, and installation, based in archival research, and unique spatial awareness.
