Emily Arthur (Eastern Band Cherokee descent) is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia and served as a Fellow at the Barnes Foundation for Advanced Theoretical and Critical Research. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Saint Louis Art Museum, Denver Art Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts.
